MFW-K… Ll is for Leaf

We just wrapped up the third unit of My Father’s World A to Z of God’s Creation. The letter Ll was our focus this week and learning all about leaves and plant life. MFW-K… Ss is for Sun!

My Father’s World‘s God’s Creation from A to Z curriculum is broken into six day unit studies. Each unit has a main study that is tied into a bible concept.  I love that everything we are studying is all tied in together. Our bible concept for the week is “Jesus is the light of the world”. Continue reading

What’s In the Box – MFW AHL

My oldest is starting 9th grade this fall…. HIGH SCHOOL, yikes where does the time go! This is our first year that we will be using My Father’s World Ancient History and Literature (You can read more about this year curriculum choice here) and we are so excited (maybe me more than my son). I love MFW for so many different reasons,  its bible based curriculum to be a top contender but this year it focuses on teaching our young man to become more independent and responsible for his own work. I am hoping that this will be an easy transition as he has been pretty independent last year but at the same time he often needs a little nudging. My only concern is the amount of reading is a lot more than the previous year and my son does not like to read (I hope that changes as time goes on because this mama loves to read). This post will go over how I organized this year’s curriculum.
